Parish Ministries

Lay trained ministers serve at the altar assisting the priest and deacon as necessary. They may carry the cross, the processional candles, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, carry the incense and censer, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest or assist him when he receives the gifts from the people, and wash the hands of the priest. Most important of all, they are there to participate in the Mass.

Eucharistic Ministers

This ministry witnesses to the faith of the Real Presence of Christ by assisting the priest in bringing the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ to the people of God at Mass, as well as those who are homebound.

Lectors

This ministry offers members the unique opportunity to proclaim the word of God to the congregation through the scriptural readings at each Mass.

Ushers (Hospitality) and Greeters are called to be Ministers of Hospitality, promoting a sense of welcoming and belonging to all the faithful assembled for worship. Their presence, conversation and actions demonstrate a genuine desire that all who come to the Liturgical event feel welcome and are assisted as needed.
