Making Ladyfinger Cookies Oct. 9-10

It’s time to make another batch or two of those delicious and famous ladyfinger cookies for the upcoming CCW Arts and Craft Show (Oct. 19-20) as well as the Annual Spaghetti Dinner that is just around the corner (Nov. 3)!

Time: 8:00 a.m.
Where: The Fr. Charles J. Murray Hall

If you have and apron and some time, we would love the help. Have a cup of coffee, visit with some new and old friends, AND make a few ladyfingers.

Bible Verse for Today

Bible Study Class

Our bible study class will be looking at Chapter 14-15 in this in depth Study of the Gospel according to Matthew.

Come and grow in your knowledge and understanding of Jesus and our Catholic faith through this great study of Sacred Scripture. The study will take us through the whole of Salvation History and tie all things together, showing the great continuity of the Old Testament and the New. It will help us to understand why we believe what we believe and why we do what we do as Catholics especially the Eucharist and other sacraments.

The Chalice for Vocations

chalice The Chalice for Vocations ministry was developed to promote fervent and devotional prayer for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. These specific intentions are raised as the chalice travels within the parish community.

A prayer guide is provided and geared for readers that are young or old. Spontaneous and personal prayers for vocations are always acceptable and welcome also. Please incorporate prayers for an increase in vocations within your prayer life.

Take Home the Holy Family Shrine

The Knights of Columbus (KOC) of St. Joseph (#9456) have introduced a new program called "The Holy Family"

We are inviting parishioners of any household to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family. Each week the parishioner will take the sanctuary of the Holy Family into their homes for one week of daily prayer. At the end of your week, you will bring back the sanctuary to the church for the next family.

They are asking for a little help! They are looking for help with any canned goods or non-perishable items.

O Prince of Peace,
We pray for the people of Ukraine this day.
May conflict cease and peace be restored.
May those in power soon find ways of peace.
God of peacemakers
Teach us the ways of peace.
Come and show us
how to beat our swords into plowshares,
tools of life instead of instruments of fear.
Strip us of all strategies of conquest,
Make our hearts alive
to your movement toward peace
with our dear neighbor.
We pray for the people of Ukraine this day.

If you are planning a Quinceanera the requirements are:

the young lady be registered in Religious Ed and must have attended classes the year prior.
Must attend class with Maria Cornejo with explanation of what the Quinceanera celebration is about
