St. Joseph's Church Parishioner Hall of Fame Bound
Fellow St. Joseph Parishioner Donnie Lee Sedillo will be one of the six inductees into the CF&I hall of Fame at 5:30 p.m., on Sat., Jan. 27 according to a story written by Pueblo Chieftain reporter Tracy Harmon on Monday, Jan. 15.
Sedillo began work at CF&I in 1957, just a week after graduating from Huerfano County High School. To help others from Walsenburg save on gas and car maintenance, he organized a carpool so his friends and coworkers could take turns making the hour-long drive.
Donnie retired in the mid-1980s and became an active volunteer for many community projects on the St. Charles Mesa.
Sedillo is an active parishioner at St. Joseph's who helps out with many church events throughout the year and is also a member of the Knights of Columbus (#9456).
Donnie's father Paul, who also worked in the CF&I, will also be inducted on that same night.
