Below is a breakdown of events (with latest pictorial gallery) that St. Joseph Catholic Church holds throughout the year. This does not include some fundraisers and preparations by our parish for certain events.
KOC #9456 Breakfast
The KOC breakfast is held the second Sunday of various months. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, green chile, coffee, juice drink and fruit.
Tuscany at St. Joseph
The Tuscany at St. Joseph is a highly successful wine tasting and art show. This fundraiser, in it's fifth year (2020), is held every two years to help the church's capital improvement fund.
Festival of Hops
The Hops Festival is a parish event where the community is able to sample several local and surrounding area breweries. A silent auction and food bar is just a part of this wonderful event.
St. Joseph Table
St. Joseph Catholic Church holds a yearly St. Joseph Table that last for three days inside the Fr. Charles J. Murray Parish Hall. People of all ages come to view the table which honors our patron saint - St. Joseph.
Fish Fry
The annual "Fish Fry" dinner is a Lenten meal put together by the St. Joseph Knights of Columbus #9456, the Council of Catholic Women and the St. Joseph's Ladies Auxiliary.
Lenten Mission
The Lenten Mission at St. Joseph is a time before Lent begins that our parishoners begin an inward journey to reconcile with the Lord and accept his unconditional love.
Fields Blessing
In the month of May, our farmers receive a blessing of the fields from Fr. Steve for moisture for the crops planted and a bountiful harvest.
The Easter Triduum
Easter Triduum is a term used by the Roman Catholic Church to denote the three days from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday. It begins with the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper and ends after evening prayers at sunset on Easter Day.
First Communion
A child’s first Communion is a cause for celebration and should be beautiful and memorable. The true focus of that holy and special day must remain the sacrament itself as the little ones are welcomed to the table of the Lord.
HS Confirmation
High School Confirmation at St. Joseph is offered for eligible students in grades 9-12 and involved two years of comprehensive catechesis classes prior to Confirmation.
All Graduates Mass
A graduates mass is held at St. Joseph each year in the month of May for our parishioners who graduate from high school and college. The graduates come dressed in their caps and gowns for the occassion.
Pentecost Sunday
Pentecost Sunday is a day for celebration of adults from our RCIA program at St. Joseph. They are confirmed by receving gift of the Holy Spirit during the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Vacation Bible School
During one week in the month of June, St. Joseph holds a vacation bible school (VBS) for kids Pre-K to 5th grade. VBS is a ministry outreach churches provide to educate children about God through various activities.
St. Joseph Festival
St. Joseph holds its annual parish festival during the first weekend in August. Deemed the largest church festival in town, the two-day event has kids games, food, bingo, and a entertainment tent, a horsehoes and softball tournament.
Spaghetti Dinner
The St. Joseph Annual Spaghetti Dinner is one of the longest running events in Pueblo. Held on the first Sunday in November since 1961, the dinner is a staple our parishioners enjoy cooking up for all of the Pueblo community to enjoy.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Each year, members of the the Knights of Columbus and ladies from our Council of Catholic Women put together baskets for those less fortunate during Thanksgiving.
Christmas Baskets
The annual Christmas baskets are put together by the St. Joseph's chapter of the Knights of Columbus along with the Parish's Council of Catholic Women for those in need of food during Christmas.
Festival of the Light
This annual concert marks the beginning of Advent and the Christmas season. The event is put on by the church choirs (St. Ceclia, Spirit and Children's) inside the church.
Christmas Program
A new tradition begans at St. Joseph in 2023, as kids registered in our religious education program bring to life the birth of Jesus Christ in the parish hall.
