Despite the high temperatures and humidity, the "Largest Parish Festival in Pueblo" attracted people of all ages in the community. The annual event, held the first weekend in August (3-4) had something for everyone. There was a lot of delicious food, musical entertainment of all kinds, a horseshoe tournament (in memory of Richard Duvall), bingo, cake spin, kids games, and a 12U baseball tournament hosted by the Runyon Sports Complex which went extra innings to determine a champion!

THANK YOU is just not enough to say, to EVERYONE who made our Parish festival a wonderful success!!

From set up, Cookie making, help in the kitchen with all the delicious food, help in ALL the booths, tear down, clean up, help with the money, maintenance, help with bingo, help with the entertainment, everyone who sold raffle tickets, and everyone behind the scenes that we never see.

Thank you to June DuVall, Vince DuVall, and Lori Carter for spearheading the festival again this year.

TO EACH AND EVERY VOLUNTEER, THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH AN ASSET TO OUR PARISH AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!

Also thanks to our sponsors for this year's festival: Disanti Farms, Wagner Rentals, Genova Construction and the Runyon Sports Complex.

Bible Verse for Today

But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” And the angel said to her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

– Luke 1:26-38
