St. Joseph Catholic Church rang its church Bells for 10 minutes beginning at Noon on Thurs., Dec. 31, 2020. This was in response to Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar asking all churches in Pueblo to ring their bells for those who are ill with/or who have passed away from COVID-19 during the past year. Fr. Joseph Vigil said a short prayer prior to the ringing of the bells. Those who rang the bells were Tyler Trujillo, Jaydon Trujillo and Jacob Harmon.
Also to everyone in our parish and their families, the staff of St. Joseph want to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

At the suggestion of a citizen, many churches in the city will ring their bells at noon Thursday in memory and honor of those who have died from complications due to COVID-19.
Gradisar said his office reached out to the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo and other churches to participate in the noon memorial.
“We’re going to ask all the citizens of the community, at noon on New Year’s Eve, to take a moment and reflect on what’s transpired this year, reflect on those people who have passed away or have been afflicted with COVID-19 this year,” Gradisar said. “Just give a couple a minutes of silence and listen to the church bells all over the city.”
