St. Joseph Holds Golf Tournament June 22

St. Joseph Catholic church held its Third Annual Golf Tournament on Sat., June 22 at Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo.

A total of seven teams of four (28 players) played a best ball format beginning at 8 a.m., on a warm overcast morning on the short-nine.

The winning foursome with a low nine-hole score (24) were: Allen Ercul, Mark Phillips, Harric Vandervalk and Pat Finn.

There were also awards for:
Men's longest drive in the fairway (Hole 4): Sean Steicklen.

Women's longest drive in the fairway (Hole 8): Erica Shannon.

Even though Fr. Steve didn't team up, he was on hand to hit anyone's tee shot on the final hole (hole 9) for $5.

The winner of the 50/50 raffle ($270) was Dustin Taylor who donated his winnings back to the church.

Thanks to Blazin Bagel for providing the coffee, bagels and cream.  After the tournament, each player was treated to a hamburger lunch with chips and potato salad and awards were give to all who attended. 

Also, thanks goes to our friends at Texas Roadhouse who had a booth for the golfers to stop by and chat as well as those who donated as a hole sponsor for the tournament:

Quinceanera Information

If you are planning a Quinceanera the requirements are:

  • the young lady be registered in Religious Ed and must have attended classes the year prior.
  • Must attend class with Maria Cornejo with explanation of what the Quinceanera celebration is about
