Novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

NOVENA TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

On Tuesday, March 15, it was announced that on March 25, during the Celebration of Penance at St Peter’s Basilica in Rome, Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The same act of consecration, on the same day, will be carried out in Fatima to Our Lady of Fatima by Cardinal Krajewski, Apostolic Almoner, as envoy of the Holy Father.

As we place our trust in God through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, please begin today the Novena to The Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is to be prayed throughout the diocese for the nine days leading to the day of Laetare Sunday (March 27th, 4th Sunday of Lent).

Plans will be coming shortly as to how we will join with the Holy Father on the day of prayer, March 25th.

NOVENA TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

O Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, consoling, hear our prayer.

As your children, we implore your intercession with Jesus your Son.

Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today, especially for the conversion of Russia and Ukraine.

We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open

to those who ask for your prayer.

We trust to your gentle care and intercession,

those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting.

Help all of us, Holy Mother, to bear our burdens in this life

until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever. Amen.

Concluding Prayer

Our Father

Hail Mary

Glory Be
